Licensed Practical Nurse
Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses in multiple locations and departments including: Med/Surg, Long Term Care, Behavioral Health, and ICU.

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and in accordance with Standards of Care established by Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems and Nursing Administration policies/procedures. This individual may function as a primary provider, patient care provider, or otherwise as assigned by the Charge Nurse.

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

Responsible to: Registered Nurse, or Nursing Supervisor.

Reports to: The Charge Nurse when in a primary care provider position.

Workers Supervised: Nursing Aides
-
Regular contact with hospital Ancillary departments for information, and to coordinate services for residents.

Regular contact with residents, nursing staff, physicians, and families.

Rotates to other shifts, when required for staffing.

Employee takes necessary self precautions, and manages both residents and employees against infectious diseases.

Also, insures environmental precautions in handling of supplies and waste.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical School of Nursing.

Training and Experience: Current licensure as an LPN in the State of Missouri or multistate. Maintain current CPR/BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Job Knowledge: Knowledge of general nursing and practice for better understanding of practice for better understanding of patient care problems. Knowledge and performance of general nursing procedures involved in performing general nursing care.

Physical demands require the ability to lift, push, pull, stand, and walk distances without restrictions.
